In her Key Note Speech at the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2021, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen highlighted the contribution Green Hydrogen Valleys are making to the EU Green Deal. She chose two examples to illustrate how to limit global emissions and involve businesses in the European Green Deal – and Green Hysland was one of them. "The Green Hysland project on the island of Mallorca is a great example. It is the first hydrogen valley on a European island. (...) This is our European Green Deal at work for European citizens."
