Katharina BOUCHAAR
Managing Director
Katharina Bouchaar is the Managing Director of Enercy.
Katharina is an expert in EU Net Zero policies and international project management. She also has extensive knowledge of the EU regulatory and subsidy frameworks for sustainable technologies, services and infrastructure thanks to her previous career at the European Commission, where she was responsible for international Energy, Transport and Climate projects across the EU and in third countries. Katharina is also a Member of the Board of the Edinburgh Remakery, an award-winning social enterprise.
Katharina holds an MSc in Environmental Management from Université Libre of Brussels, Belgium, a second Masters’ degree in European Affairs from Humboldt University Berlin, Germany and a BA (Honours) in Development Studies & Politics from SOAS, University of London, UK. She speaks English, French, Spanish and German fluently, and has some knowledge of Arabic, Polish and Turkish.
