Dr. Enrique TRONCOSO

Dr Enrique Troncoso is the Co-Founder and Technical & BD Director of Enercy. A senior engineering consultant, he is currently focused on the deployment of renewable local energy systems across Europe, and on the implementation of green hydrogen as clean flexible energy vector.

​Enrique is an expert in low carbon energy systems and the integration of renewables, energy storage and clean energy vectors like hydrogen and biogas. His background includes project development, design and planning, technical project management, technical consultancy and delivery of complex integrated deployment projects. Enrique has developed and currently coordinates some of the EU’s largest demonstration programs on hydrogen, mobility and integrated energy systems (e.g. HEAVENN / H2 Valleys, BIG HIT). He also works as a technical advisor to the European Commission on technology innovation and low carbon energy & transport programs.

Enrique holds a PhD in Hydrogen Technologies from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK, an MSc degree in Chemical & Environmental Engineering and a BEng in Industrial Engineering from the University of Seville, Spain. He speaks English and Spanish fluently and has some knowledge of German and Italian.
